Richmond, VA,Military Defense Lawyers
Richmond—the capital of the Commonwealth of Virginia—is significant in several eras of American history. The site Richmond now occupies was formerly a village of the Powhatan Confederacy of Native American tribes in the seventeenth century, when English colonists from Jamestown settled there for a time in 1609. During the Revolutionary War, Patrick Henry gave his “Give me liberty or give me death” speech at a church in the city. During the Civil War, Richmond was the capital of the Confederacy. While finance, law, and government are the primary drivers of the Richmond economy, the city is also home to several military installations.
